Fairview features 11 acres on its retail site, and has made recent strides to enclose more of the garden center to allow for indoor shopping. The 31-year-old retail operation hosts customer and employee appreciation days for local corporations as a way to bring in shoppers to the facility.
Fairview has made a dedicated effort to radio advertising, running ads 52 weeks a year with an ad agency writing the scripts for optimal performance.
It also is working on an open-to-buy system based on inventory and purchasing information gleaned from the POS system.
