Roger Waynick, Cool Springs Press President, Dies

Cool Springs Press founder and president Roger Waynick died on March 22, due to complications from a massive stroke.

"We are unbelievably shocked," read a statement on the Cool Springs Press website on Wednesday morning. "Roger was larger than life and always sought new adventures, both in life and in the publishing world he loved."

Roger is survived by his wife, Nancy, and four children. Details of Roger's memorial service are yet to be released.

Cool Springs Press focuses on publishing state and regional gardening information, publishing its first state-specific gardening guide, The Tennessee Gardener's Guide, in 1996. Authors published by Cool Springs Press include Joe Lamp'l, Melinda Myers, Peter Loewer and Debra Prinzing.

Roger's arrangements are this Friday, March 25th: visitation from 1-5 p.m. at Brentwood United Methodist Church (Franklin Road in Brentwood, Tennessee). Also, Saturday, March 26th: visitation from 9-11 a.m. with memorial service at 11 a.m. Also at Brentwood United Methodist Church.
