Reinhard Noack, breeder of the popular Flower Carpet roses, was the guest of honor at the Anthony Tesselaar USA licensed growers’ meeting in Los Angeles in November. Anthony Tesselaar International is the licensed marketer of Flower Carpet Roses in several countries, including the United States.
Noack’s speech focused on the marketing of Flower Carpet in Europe, where it has become a major product line, selling millions of units each year. He discussed strategy for color releases in each market, noting that the new Flower Carpet Amber became the third most popular color within one year of its release.
"The French are particularly fashion conscious when it comes to color," he explained. "Flower Carpet Amber is a very stylish shade."
Flower Carpet Amber is scheduled for release in the United States in 2009, and another new introduction, Flower Carpet Pink Supreme, will be introduced in 2008.
