Atrium Garden Center in Lake Zurich, Ill., uses Velcro on wooden posts to keep laminated signs in place. That way, they are also easily switched out when merchandise changes.

Rockledge Gardens in Rockledge, Fla., has a unique use for PVC piping. Directional and inspirational signs are framed in the piping, which has been painted to match and make the signage pop even more.

Goebbert’s Farm & Garden Center in South Barrington, Ill., uses “What’s The Difference” signs in the perennial and tree and shrub areas. These signs detail the difference between different varieties of a certain genus. The pictured sign compares the different types of astilbe.
