Overdevest Nurseries, Bailey Nurseries, David Austin Roses and Spring Meadow Are Working Together To Attract Customers At The MANTS Show This Week.

Normally, national nurseries compete with one another to gain attention and orders from garden retailers. At this year's MANTS' show, Overdevest Nursery, Bailey Nurseries, Spring Meadow Nursery and David Austin Roses are working together on a joint promotion, the Treasure Trail competition.
"It’s just a little extra fun thing we are doing to help visitors concentrate a little more on some of the things we will be doing in 2012," says Overdevest's David Wilson. "I came up with to focus a bit more attention on the top notch plant brands that Overdevest grows for Independent garden centers, create a little more fun for the visitors to the show and make a difference by doing things a little differently."
Retailers will be given a clue sheet that they need to fill in. Once they've completed the sheet, they can turn it in for a chance to win prizes.
"There will be a drawing at approximately 3pm on Wednesday and Thursday for a selection of prizes that will include signed copies of books by David Austin and Dr. Michael Dirr, plus other things kindly been donated by the participating firms," Wilson says. Clues can be found in the participating nurseries' booths.
"I contacted the participating brand people, David Austin Roses, PW/Color Choice, First Editions, Endless Summer and, now, Brazel Berries (a new brand of fruit plants by Fall Creek Nursey in Oregon, and everyone thought it was such a good idea they wanted to get involved and supply prizes," says Wilson. "It should be fun, so stop by if you can."
