Patio firepot lawsuits fallout leads to sale of national wholesaler

Napa Home & Garden’s assets were acquired by floral and decorative accessory firm Teters Floral, Napa announced August 4. It will continue under its current name as a division of Teters.
Following a series of lawsuits related to serious injuries caused by the company’s firepots and gel fuel, the national wholesaler filed bankruptcy on July 5. Teters Floral stepped in to purchase the company’s core assets, which ensures that orders and shipping will continue.
Napa Home & Garden will maintain showrooms at the Atlanta, Dallas, Denver, High Point and Los Angeles markets. It will also go forward with more than 75 of its current independent sales representatives.
