Idea Gallery: Emsflower
March 2009
Near Holland in Emsbüren, Germany, grower Bernie Kuyper has partnered with the local tourism bureau to create a sensational destination. In addition to being one of the largest bedding plant operations in Europe, Emsflower is a garden center, restaurant, botanical garden and park rolled into one. Last year, more than 400,000 people visited with 250,000 paying admission. In addition to drawing from the region, tourists come in busloads to shop, eat and see modern floricultural production practices.
