The Revolutionary 100

Revolutionary 100Now in its fourth year, Today’s Garden Center’s Revolutionary 100 list is compiled of the most innovative independent garden retailers from across the country. We opened the survey in August, and the response was phenomenal. This year, competition was the toughest yet, with hundreds of garden centers vying for a spot on the list.

How The Revolutionary 100 Are Selected

The qualifications for achieving Revolutionary 100 status are fairly stringent. Garden center owners or managers complete a 42-question online survey covering just about every aspect of their businesses, including the operation’s employee training and incentive programs, customer service practices, industry activity, community stewardship, marketing activities and profitability. Points are awarded based on each response. The glory of the Revolutionary 100 list is that it’s not based on size or revenue. It’s about the Revolutionary ideas that make these retailers unique and successful.

Hello, In regards to your "Revolutionary Top 100". I noticed a article in the local newspaper (Telegraph Herald, Dubuque, IA) stating "Steve's Ace Home & Garden" (Dubuque, IA) was included in that category. It is a good thing that a business such as theirs rates themselves. I have nothing good to say about their customer service! After having contracted them for a landscaping project (which is still waiting to be finished) I would never recommend them and will continue in the future to let anyone who may be in need of their type of services to stay clear of doing business with them. You should have your "Top 100" category include actual ratings from the clients of any business applying for your awards. I would never again do business with "Steve's Ace Home & Garden". Sincerely, David Soat
