This 22-year-old retailer mixes provided POP with its own branded product to give customers a well-rounded choice of products. Owners Larry and Frances Grossman have a popular garden show from 10 to 11 a.m. Saturday mornings that positions them as the experts in their field. They have started a new vendor marketing program tied to the radio show to help keep products in local independent garden centers. "With our new vendor marketing program, vendors will pay the cost of radio and TV," writes Larry Grossman. "In the end: less advertising costs to Grossman's and greater brand exposure to Grossman's, as well." Grossman's also has started a new Special Events Registry program for the following events: weddings, retirements, new homes, birthdays and second marriages.
