Last year, Flamingo Road Nursery opened a 3,600 square foot patio shop, which has helped increase profitability during the slower summer months. Monthly cookouts with free hotdogs and sodas, as well as a Butterfly pavilion, bring customers into the store during the off-season. Located on a busy road that sees 30,000 cars each day, the cookouts generate significant traffic for the garden center.
